Shahid Mumtaz is an experienced litigator with a diverse international background. He practiced for over a decade as a solicitor with higher rights of audience in the United Kingdom, specializing in white collar criminal defense.
After passing the New York bar in 2019, he joined the New York City Law Department's Tort Division as Senior Counsel. He most recently served as Staff Counsel at Liberty Mutual Insurance, where he was part of the complex litigation team.
Shahid has extensive experience in automobile and premises liability matters and has appeared for oral argument before the Appellate Division, Second Department.
